COUNCIL GROVE, KS—Young hunters are invited to attend a free wingshooting and gun safety clinic sponsored by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (DWP), the Army Corps of Engineers and local conservation organizations and hunter education instructors October 15, at Council Grove Reservoir. The clinic will provide participants with an opportunity to learn basic wingshooting skills, and controlled live-fire instruction and a computer hunting simulator will help teach safe, responsible shooting techniques.
In related news, aspiring hunters between the ages of 11 and 15 are being given an opportunity to learn about waterfowl hunting from the Missouri Department of Conservation (DOC).
