I'm so confused. I have a big interest in becoming an avid archer but I have so many questions. I have looked at all the bows from the leading manufacturers but I still can't come to a good conclusion. Does anyone have any recomendations on what bow is good and basically just some good ole' advice for a beginning lady archer. Thanks in advance for any input you may have.

The best advice I can give you is go to your local Pro Shop. Tell them what your expectations are and what your ideas are as far as goals, limitations (physical, monetary) and just kinda hear them out on what they think you should be set up with. Out west here, seems like a lot of guys are shooting Hoyt or Reflex bows... Doesn't seem like Bowtech, Matthews, or PSE have a real big following out here but I've seen a few Martins and there are a couple others that I've seen. The best thing would be to go to the shop, maybe shoot a couple different bows and see which one you like the best..... This being said, I'm not an archer yet, just friends with a few and I've spent some time around the pro shops.... GOod luck to you.
Riverrat is right, I've been archery hunting for over 25 years and the best advice I could give you is go to a pro shop. They will fit you with the right size bow (you'd be surprised how many people shoot a bow with a draw length that is too long). Beyond that, pick a bow that feels good to you. The last bow I bought was a Mathews SQ2 but before buying it I must have shot 20 different bows from different manufacturers to find the one that felt right to me. Good Luck
I don't bow hunt. I shoot some archery target shooting. I would recommend that you get a target bow that you can shoot andperfect your skills. It's like rifle shooting. You don't start with a .30-06. Usually people start with a BB gun, then work their way up. Try to find an archery supply shop in your area. They can be very helpful. :)

Well, you guys were right. I went and tried more bows and finally ended up with a PSE Spyder. It fits me well and I am starting to get the hang of this archery stuff. Hopefully by next year I will be good enough to hunt with it. Thanks again.
