how do I keep deer out of my garden!

The deer..... one is a monster buck BTW, are eating my tomatoe plants.... and I have fruit on them.... I am afraid that they will eat them. I dont want to shoot them..... and I wouldn't. Is there anything i can put around my garden to keep them away? coyote pee?

If you live in the middle of nowhere yote pee might work for a little while. You can try to use human hair and such but I find if you live in a populated area the deer smell dogs, cats, you, your car and everything else in your yard. Why would they fear yote pee or anything else they don’t actually see? They react to fear. That’s the reason after they get accustom to your yard you will see them in the daylight. They got so bad at my place my kids were shoeiiing them out of the yard. They would come everyday in the middle of the day to eat our duck food.

Here’s what I found worked the best for me. FEAR! Pop off a blank 12ga when they’re in the yard. You just bought at least 2 weeks of them not coming back. At least in the day. You can also buy 12ga M80 shells. They launch about 80yds and blow up. Farmers use them to keep animals out of the fields. Narrow fences will also work. If they can’t figure out if they can jump out they don’t jump in. 6 foot wide rows have worked in the past for me. And my go to deer fence is FISHING LINE! Post on each corner with individual pieces of fishing line tied up the post every 6 inches. You can’t see it so it doesn’t look like crap. The deer will walk into it the first time. Watched one freak out when he walked into it. They can’t judge how high it is so they don’t attempt to jump it.

Question? Why not thin your herd in your yard if it’s legal there? No minimum land here for bows. I don’t count them as if I stalked them in the woods but I do donate several deer a season from urban bow hunting. Sat on a garage roof last season in black clothes to match the roof while taking out 3 from a yard. Took 2 others while standing on my deck. The shelter that feeds the homeless doesn’t care where the deer are hunted as long as it feeds people. Just a thought.

lol now they ate all my corn!!!!!! oh well..... least I can hunt them this season.... let them get fat! :p
