Saint Paul, Minnesota - Dean Ward of Dighton, Kansas has won the 2006 "Ultimate Dream Hunt" for using his Pheasants Forever Visa credit card. U.S. Bank, issuer of the Pheasants Forever Visa, will be sending Ward and a guest on an all-expenses-paid pheasant hunting trip to South Dakota the week of November 1st through 5th.
The dream hunt will be Ward's first visit to South Dakota for pheasant hunting. "In Kansas, we go pheasant hunting all the time, but I'm excited for the challenges South Dakota hunting could bring," said Ward, who is a member of the Stubble Ducks Chapter of Pheasants Forever (PF) based in Ness County, Kansas. Ward plans to bring fellow chapter member Mark Lewis with him for the hunt.
Ward won the "Ultimate Dream Hunt" by using his PF Visa Card over the past year. Contestants earned entries into the sweepstakes with each purchase made using their Pheasants Forever Visa card. To sign up for your Pheasants Forever Visa card today, go to www.pheasantsforever.org (http://www.pheasantsforever.org/) and click on the credit card icon appearing on the left side of the screen.
U.S. Bank makes a donation to Pheasants Forever after each new Visa card is activated, and again each and every time that Visa card is used. The program has contributed over $200,000 to PF's habitat efforts in just the first two years of the program. Last month, U.S. Bank began issuing Quail Forever Visa credit cards to support the quail habitat efforts of PF's sister organization.
ScatterGun Lodge, who is hosting the trip, is located just east of Pierre, South Dakota. Owned by Chuck and Sheila Ross, ScatterGun features 3,000 acres of hunting land. The trip will include four nights and three full days of hunting. For information about ScatterGun, log onto www.scattergunlodge.com (http://www.scattergunlodge.com/)
PF is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the protection and enhancement of pheasant, quail, and other wildlife populations in North America through habitat improvement, land management, public awareness, and education. Such efforts benefit landowners and wildlife alike. PF and its quail division, Quail Forever, have more than 115,000 members in over 700 local chapters across the continent.
